# PostProcess enum

Namespace: [Grasshopper2.Animation](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/gh2/namespace/grasshopper2.animation.md) · Assembly: [Grasshopper2](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/gh2/assembly/grasshopper2.md)

```cs
public enum PostProcess
```

What to make out of an animation's frames once every one of them is on disk.

A post-process only ever runs after a completed run. A cancelled run, or one which could not write every frame, leaves a hole in the sequence, and every encoder here would quietly stop at that hole rather than complain about it.

## Values

| Name | Value | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| None | 0 | Nothing is encoded. |
| Mp4 | 1 | An H.264 video in an MP4 container. Widely supported, but requires FFmpeg. |
| Gif | 2 | An animated GIF, built in two passes so the colour table suits the whole sequence rather than the first frame. Requires FFmpeg. |
| Apng | 3 | An animated PNG. Lossless, keeps alpha. No temporal compression so animated-pngs tend to be much larger than other video formats. APNGs are encoded from scratch by Grasshopper, no dependencies. |
| Webm | 4 | A VP9 video in a WebM container. Spotty support outside of web browsers, requires FFmpeg built with libvpx. |
