Enumerates the possible states in which a document can exist.

## Values

| Name | Value | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Active | 0 | An active document will respond to expiration events and compute new solutions. |
| Inactive | 1 | An inactive document will respond to expiration events, but it will not compute new solutions. |
| Inert | 2 | An inert document will not respond to any events and it will not compute new solutions. Inert documents which are revived must be considered fully expired. |
| Closing | 3 | A closing document is in the process of releasing all its resources. At this stage the document should be considered unusable. Any attempt to use a method on this document may well result in exceptions. |
| Closed | 4 | A closed document has released all its resources. Any attempt to use a method on this document may well result in exceptions. |
