The category of a [Fragment](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/gh2/type/grasshopper2.parsing.fragment.md). These are flag values so that groups of kinds can be expressed as a single mask.

## Values

| Name | Value | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Head | 1 | Zero length marker at the start of a [Fragments](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/gh2/type/grasshopper2.parsing.fragments.md) view. |
| Tail | 2 | Zero length marker at the end of a [Fragments](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/gh2/type/grasshopper2.parsing.fragments.md) view. |
| Terminal | 3 | Both view markers. |
| Whitespace | 4 | A run of whitespace. Never spans a line break. |
| LineBreak | 8 | A single line break. A carriage return plus line feed counts as one. |
| Comment | 16 | An inline or block comment. |
| Trivia | 20 | Fragments which carry no meaning. Line breaks are deliberately excluded. |
| Number | 32 | A numeric literal. |
| Word | 64 | A run of letters, digits and underscores, starting with a letter or underscore. |
| Symbol | 128 | A single character which belongs to no other category. |
| BracketOpen | 256 | An opening bracket. |
| BracketClose | 512 | A closing bracket. |
| Bracket | 768 | Both bracket sides. |
| Literal | 1024 | A quote delineated text literal. |
