The groups of wires that share colours. Item, list and tree wires all carry data and look alike; only empty, disabled and tentative wires may deviate.

## Values

| Name | Value | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Data | 0 | Item, list and tree wires. |
| Null | 1 | Wires carrying no data. |
| Disabled | 2 | Wires into disabled objects. |
| Tentative | 3 | The rubber band drawn while a causal link is being made. Never selected. |
