# IntersectionEvent class

Namespace: [Rhino.Geometry.Intersect](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/rhinocommon/namespace/rhino.geometry.intersect.md) · Assembly: [RhinoCommon](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/rhinocommon/assembly/rhinocommon.md)

```cs
public class IntersectionEvent
```

Provides all the information for a single Curve Intersection event.

## Properties

- [IsOverlap](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/rhinocommon/type/rhino.geometry.intersect.intersectionevent/isoverlap.md): All curve intersection events are either a single point or an overlap.
- [IsPoint](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/rhinocommon/type/rhino.geometry.intersect.intersectionevent/ispoint.md): All curve intersection events are either a single point or an overlap.
- [OverlapA](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/rhinocommon/type/rhino.geometry.intersect.intersectionevent/overlapa.md): Gets the interval on curve A where the overlap occurs. If the intersection type is not overlap, this value is meaningless.
- [OverlapB](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/rhinocommon/type/rhino.geometry.intersect.intersectionevent/overlapb.md): Gets the interval on curve B where the overlap occurs. If the intersection type is not overlap, this value is meaningless.
- [ParameterA](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/rhinocommon/type/rhino.geometry.intersect.intersectionevent/parametera.md): Gets the parameter on Curve A where the intersection occurred. If the intersection type is overlap, then this will return the start of the overlap region.
- [ParameterB](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/rhinocommon/type/rhino.geometry.intersect.intersectionevent/parameterb.md): Gets the parameter on Curve B where the intersection occurred. If the intersection type is overlap, then this will return the start of the overlap region.
- [PointA](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/rhinocommon/type/rhino.geometry.intersect.intersectionevent/pointa.md): Gets the point on Curve A where the intersection occurred. If the intersection type is overlap, then this will return the start of the overlap region.
- [PointA2](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/rhinocommon/type/rhino.geometry.intersect.intersectionevent/pointa2.md): Gets the end point of the overlap on Curve A. If the intersection type is not overlap, this value is meaningless.
- [PointB](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/rhinocommon/type/rhino.geometry.intersect.intersectionevent/pointb.md): Gets the point on Curve B (or Surface B) where the intersection occurred. If the intersection type is overlap, then this will return the start of the overlap region.
- [PointB2](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/rhinocommon/type/rhino.geometry.intersect.intersectionevent/pointb2.md): Gets the end point of the overlap on Curve B (or Surface B). If the intersection type is not overlap, this value is meaningless.

## Methods

- [CompareEquivalent](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/rhinocommon/type/rhino.geometry.intersect.intersectionevent/compareequivalent.md): (2 overloads, static) Compare intersection events.
- [SurfaceOverlapParameter](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/rhinocommon/type/rhino.geometry.intersect.intersectionevent/surfaceoverlapparameter.md): If this instance records a Curve|Surface intersection event, and the intersection type if overlap, then use this function to get the U and V domains on the surface where the overlap occurs.
- [SurfacePointParameter](https://developer.rhino3d.com/api/rhinocommon/type/rhino.geometry.intersect.intersectionevent/surfacepointparameter.md): If this instance records a Curve|Surface intersection event, and the intersection type is point, then use this function to get the U and V parameters on the surface where the intersection occurs.
