public class ShapeFile

Represents the contents of ESRI shape file data.

Constructors

public ShapeFile(string filePath)

Create a new shapefile instance from an actual shape file.

Parameters:

filePath (string)

Location of shape file on disk.

public int FileCode { get; }

Gets the file code as specified by the file. Should typically be 9994.

public int FileLength { get; }

Gets the length of the file in bytes. This data is self-reported by the file and not derived from the actual file data.

public int FileVersion { get; }

Gets the version of the file. Should typically be 1000.

public IEnumerable<Shape> Shapes { get; }

Gets a shape enumerator.

public ShapeType ShapeType { get; }

Gets the type of all shapes in this file.

public Shape FindShape(int index)

Gets the shape with the given index.

Parameters:

index (int)

Index of shape to retrieve.

Returns: Shape with given index or null if no such shape exists.
